At a time when the Pro-Kabaddi League is receiving larger and larger, the central government & the state government of Uttar-Pradesh do not appear to give much importance to the sport game. Despite the addition of a team from Uttar-Pradesh for the 1st time in the Pro Kabaddi League. Indian kabaddi player “Rahul Chaudhari” has made allegations against of government for not giving the financial support that was promised.
After a long time. India won the ‘Kabaddi World Cup’ and it is discouraging to see a gold medal champion facing the stigma of being unnoticed by the centre & state government.
Rahul Chaudhari said, ‘When I supported India succeed the gold medal in the Kabaddi World Cup champion in 2016, Central government promised to provide financial support but the government didn’t stay true to the promise.’
Not just that Rahul Chaudhari hasn’t been given a government job as well so far, It is a stark contrast to the “Haryana government” who have honored their player “Ajay Thakur” by making him the Deputy Superintendent of Police.
“The central government & state government have not specified me a job in any post. On the other hand when the Indian cricket-team returns home after winning the World Cup they are showered with money” Rahul Chaudhari said.
“When I come back at home after winning the Kabaddi World-Cup, not even a single politician or official from Uttar Pradesh was there to welcome me while the ministers from other states gave their players a grand reception” Rahul Chaudhari alleges.
Rahul Chaudhari opines that this is the cause why people do not want to come into the sports as the government does not offer much support. If the player are not looked after appropriately nobody would want to play the sports.
According to Rahul Chaudhari, he hasn’t been provided several financial assistance by the government till day nor has he been commemorate in any way. After the “World Cup”, players from Haryana were award:Rs.5-6 lakh and given jobs in the police department whereas Rahul Chaudhari was given just a meager Rs.40,000.
It is a regretful state of affairs for kabaddi players when a player like Rahul, who has also win the gold medal in “‘South Asian Games” last year. Is treated in this manner.
